Technological advancements in the fields of apps, smart appliances, assisted cooking, and artificial intelligence are changing the face of the modern home kitchen for passionate home cooks. My findings echo themes from recent Horizons reports; the prioritization of mobile content and delivery, artificial intelligence, the internet of things, and virtual assistants top the list of dominant emerging technologies in the culinary world (Adams Becker et al., 2017; Alexander et al., 2019).
